The Operator I operates and maintains sludge, de-watering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment to purify water to meet customer specifications.
Must have the ability to read, writeand comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions).Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Some experience in a relatedposition and environment preferred.
Must consistently demonstrate theability to learn and independently operate assigned machines and equipmentmeeting or exceeding processing and quality targets.
Must demonstrate ability to learnand independently operate equipment such as pumps, engines, centrifuge,generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed,odor control, disinfection equipment, sludge processing filters, belt pressesand measuring/control devices, testing equipment and material handlingequipment.
Must demonstrate a working abilityto use computer programs for process control.
Must possess a valid driver''slicense and a safe driving record.
Prefer a Louisiana WastewaterCertification level 1 or higher
Require ability to obtain LouisianaWastewater Certification level I within 24 months of hire.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
