Position Summary
The QA Manager coordinates quality improvement activities for Access Health Louisiana including the designing, implementation, and updating of quality improvement plans/programs in preparation for and maintenance of internal and external reviews. Provides consultation and direction to ensure programs and services are implemented at the highest standards and patients receive the highest level of care. Ensures policies and procedures are monitored and updated to include regulatory changes.
Job Requirements:
Education
Bachelor s Degree in Health Administration, Public Health or other relevant field; Master's Degree strongly preferred. 6years of equivalentquality assurance program management experience in lieu of degree.
Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
Experience
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in QM/TQM or CQI related processes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong background in andknowledge of standard healthcare quality concepts, practices, and procedures.
Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records and MS Office.
Must be capable of conducting effective presentations and trainings.
Ability to work independently or in a group setting.
Must possess strong analytical, crisis management, organizational, and communication skills.
Calm, professional attitude in stressful situations and interactions.
High level of ethics in maintaining patient and employee confidentiality.
Attends continuing education classes to further knowledge.
Has met all pre-employment requirements for an employee of Access Health Louisiana.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Stands, walks, sit, and communicates most of the day.
Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally including pushing and/or pulling objects.
Ability to identify and comprehend various billing related documents.
Uses telephone, computer terminal, printer, fax copier, while performing certain duties.
